Street Photography

New York City

Street Photography is mainly candid pictures of random people in public places ( i.e.  streets, open markets and even parks). You can make the images extremely personal by taking pictures of people doing what they do on a daily basis. On the other hand, you could also just observe your surrounding and photograph what you see. Street photography can mean different things to others, because each person see things differently.  In this style of photography you have the freedom to be as creative as you want.

As you start taking photographs, think of different ways of capturing that special  moment.  For example, try composing the picture at different angles. This will give your images new and different  perspectives. Most importantly " BE CREATIVE". All you need is a camera with a wide angle lens and you are good to go. Street Photography is defined by its candidness. No posing, just composing and capturing the moment!

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” – Elliott Erwitt

Two major parts in photography are color and light.  Driving around West Deptford I came across a wall of graffiti. The colors in the art work really caught my eye and I had to stop and photograph it. The person that created this piece of art replicated the feeling and atmosphere of the cartoon. In each episode the colors were always vibrant, bright colors to capture the attention of kids.

Elmer Fudd, and Bugs bunny are from the old cartoon series " The Looney Tunes" started in the 1940's.
