The Golden Hours

DSC_0166 1.jpg

The golden hours of photography are typically the first and last hours of sunlight . These 'golden hours' are the best times to take pictures, in my opinion. The sun's  golden glow gives your portrait a warm color tone, as seen in the photo on the left. You can use this lighting in different ways. For example, have your model face the sunlight on an angle to create striking shadows across the face. Or have your model facing away from the sun to get a really nice glow around your model's head. (See photo on the right.) If you get the chance to take pictures during the 'golden hours' take advantage of the opportunity and get some really nice shots!
